shadow clone jutsu - makes illusionary copies of yourself
substitution - replacing yourself with something in your place, so you take no damage
transformation - allowing yourself to look like someone else

how does a new academy student obtain shadow clone? XD

well, kentaarza, i'll explain.

academy students that start out, will start with lvl 0 shadow clone, substitution, and transformation jutsu's. when they select "enhance jutsu" in the training field after getting that option, they may roleplay out the jutsu to try and lvl it up.

in the training field you have two options: exp or jutsu

jutsu has 2 options, learn or enhance. and exp has 4 options, fight a random monster/shinobi, fight a clone of themselves, fight a weaker clone of their sensei, or spar with their sensei
